Victor, New York (September 14, 2000) - BioWorks, Inc. announced today at its Annual Shareholders meeting that sales for the first quarter of its 2001 fiscal year were 11% higher than forecasted and 64% ahead of prior year. Also announced was the election of Mr. Bill Foster, BioWorks' current President & CEO, as Chairman of the Board of Directors for BioWorks. BioWorks sells products based on the patented living organism Trichoderma harzianum strain T-22 into the greenhouse/nursery, turfgrass, agriculture and consumer lawn and garden markets. Bill Foster, President, CEO and newly elected Chairman, commented on the first quarter sales results, "We are pleased with our product sales so far this fiscal year. We've seen strong domestic acceptance of our newly branded product PlantShield, and our International efforts have begun to respond with continued sales into Western Europe, along with new sales into Turkey, Korea and Israel have all been good."
